Has anybody out there benifted biwiriing their speakers with the proper biwire speaker cable? I have someone selling a older set of PNF Audio speaker cables that are biwire. Knowing that you should have differant paths for the low and high frequenzy connections I know that PNF and MIT are two that do this properly. I have read posts that say there have been no benifits of biwiring eventhogh many speaker manufacturers including Polk suggests improvements . And if there is no improvement could i just hook up both ends to the positive and both ends of the other to the negative and increase the guage of the cable?

Yes,you can combine them to increase the guage as I have done with my signature cables.
Try it both ways and decide what you like best.

A couple pieces of high quality wire as jumpers also works well.

Yes and no...yes if your gear is revealing enough, and if you use seperate amplification, then sometimes you can benefit. No...if your gear is entry level, and your just useing an avr, then probably not. This is not written in stone either. Of coarse every situation is different and the only way to know for sure is by trial and error. You could always resell what you don't like.

Thanks guys! I have a Parasound HCA1500A amp in which I am thinking of doing this to drive my rti12's. Depending on what I can get this PNF speaker cable for I may just try it.The PNF is not the symphony model so I am not sure what I am getting. That being said hopefully it is good quality cable since it does say PNF.

Bi-wiring with MIT bi-wire cables makes a very noticable improvement in the SQ. My experience with just using straight speaker cables to bi-wire revealed no improvement whatsoever.

Bi-amping is a completely different story. Here's my experience bi-amping using a Parasound HCA 1000A on the highs and a set of strapped Adcom 565 mono blocks on the lows
