my amp right now is a inky 807
i took the speakers out and did not look how they were wired in side so i downloaded the diagram but mine have a little black jumper wire and i need to know the right placement for it and is the red dott on the speakers the +??? -
The red dot on the drivers is positive. Little black jumper?? Where is the jumper located? My 1C's don't have a little black jumper. Did this jumper come with the speakers loose?
-
Can you post a pic??

the jumper wire was for wiring them in series, let me guess only one is working? see the little piece of white tape, thats to let you know that goes to negative.
Attachment not found. -

the sda 1c take the rdo 194 right and how much do thay run??
what kinda prices am i lookign at to redo the xovers
and wow thay sound good lol -
I recently purchased four 194's and with the discount and shipping to MD from CA, they ran me $203 and some change. Well worth the money spent!
Gordon2 Channel -
Martin Logan Spire, 2 JL Audio F112 subs
McIntosh C1000 Controller with Tube pre amp, 2 MC501 amplifiers, MD1K Transport & DAC, MR-88 Tuner
WireWorld Eclipse 6.0 speaker wire and jumpers, Eclipse 5^2 Squared Balanced IC's. Silver Eclipse PCs (5)
Symposium Rollerblocks 2+ (16)Black Diamond Racing Mk 3 pits (8) -
Correct 194, like 48 bucks shipped for CP forum members, crossovers will be anywhere from 100-200-300 or more depending on who does the work and the components you use. They will sound better with new tweets and x-over upgrades. you should use a room treatment next to the speaker on the wall to prevent reflections since you don't have the room to put them 3 feet from the wall. These are considered by some to be one of the three best sounding SDA's made.

Congrats on the 1C's,,, if you wanna' fast track the mods on these,I would order the caps and resistors from sonicap, especially if they are still on sale,,add in, two .5ohm 12 watt resistors to replace the polyswitches,,forget about the silver micas(you're gonna toss them)once you get the parts in,,follow the links,,or just contact one of the members who have performed this upgrade, and I'm sure they will be happy to help--good luck and congratulations .JC approves....he told me so. thanks for all the help its going to be a bit before the upgrades start and what are the metal rings that tool fan is selling what are they for
some one should make a sda mod base so we can keep all sda mods in one spot or do we have one ??? -
o ya and i was worryed about my onkyo 807 not having the power to push the sda so far so good i know amps will make it better but i am happy for now good bass good mids
-
Magic!!!!
What they do is a few things. you get a much better mounting hole to secure the drivers, also you will get better detail of sound as these help with a nice tight fit = less vibrations. also i suggest using mortite as a gasket seal on the drivers and with these rings = "Magic". If you follow my SDA 1C upgrade thread you will see all that can be done.. Keep in mind I am taking a break from the rings after this run is sold out...
Enjoy have fun...

hmmm-- I think that means if you want the rings-better get em now--certainly glad that I did.JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

ya i am on upgrade hold right now
