Hey everyone...

Newegg has the Polk CS2 Series II for sale for 129.99 until midnight today.

I need to know if I should be jumping on this deal or whether I should hold off for a better price.

This will be the center to L/R Monitor 70/60 (still undecided)

Quick reply would be appreciated!!

It would be a nice match for the Monitor 70s.

I figured so. Is the price "jaw-dropping" or will be a better deal pop up?

    That...I would not know....I'm not a price guru....seems reasonable for a center.

Haha no I didnt have them! I have nothing yet.

I still have to find a good receiver thats able to handle the Monitor 70/60.

    And a good sub.

And maybe some monitor 50's as surround.

Still a long way to go... trying to pick up deals as they pop up.. Waiting to spend about 300-350$ on a pair of 70s.

My problem is the receiver... I have no idea where to start with that.

For the receiver... honestly... the cheaper the better. I dont really have a budget but I was hoping >300$. Around the 180-230$ mark.

I was also hoping for a Pioneer or a Yamaha for those... don't really want to go with Onkyo or Denon. First system I ever bought when I was in college was Pioneer and it still works till this day. I can testify to their build quality.

    Any recommendations?

If you don't mind buying used there can be some values to be had...new....well...don't expect too much in the $230 range.

I'm not sure I trust used receivers. A used bike, why not. But something electronic you never know with. Might have a freak occurrence ya know?

I was looking into this receiver actually, Yamaha HTR-6240BL.

It's listed for 250$ off amazon. What do you think?

    Thanks!

    One more thing:

    Polk Audio Stereo Towers (pair) RT12 (37” H, 8” W, 13” D) $200.00

Saw that in a craigslist posting near me.
How do the RT12's compare to the Monitor 50s (as surrounds)?

I was thinking about jumping on this deal as well, are you sure it is only till midnight tonight? I was going to place it tomorrow since it reads it ends on 8/1, I figured it would be good through that day. If not, I need to jump on this now!

Haha I'm not sure. Jump away though. Beats any price on the net right now by at least 100$. Good enough for me. Plus it's a series II... whatever that means.
