Polk FXi A6 breakin period?
Quick question - I got a set of Polk FXi A6's yesterday .... do they require a break-in period? I'm about to get round to installing them. I should have asked yesterday, but completely forgot.
I already had the center and A9's for a few months.

Yes they do but being surround speakers I would tend to say it won't be as noticable as the others. The rubber needs to be worked to free up.
I would make them the mains for a few days to work them in. Keep them on for a day or so straight. -

Agreed - run them in 2-channel for a few days. They won't be completely broken in.....that takes a few months and a few hundred hours before they really start to loosen up. Caps will burn in too and usually takes a bit longer.Living Room:....................

Zone 2 (Workout Room):

Thanks - quite new at this.
Could I set my receiver to ALL CHANNEL MONO - and run it for a day, getting the same effect? -
