I just bought a pair of the SDA-2 speakers and the tweeters in one of the speakers is not working. I understand the upgrade is to use the RDO-14 tweeter, but I would like to preview the speaker first before I decide how much money I want to spend on them. So if anyone happens to have a pair of the SL2000 lying around after their upgrade and feel like making a great deal on them, drop me a line.
Thanks

tennessee. I may have jumped the gun. I removed them and checked them with a meter and one was 8.0 ohms and the other (main one) was 7.8 ohms.
I have the grandkids so did not connect them to the other speaker to be sure they are working, will do that tomorrow. Looking like it may be a crossover problem. Will have to find a schematic and see how she is wired up.
I will post back here no later then Sunday if I do need the tweeters.
Thanks and sorry i jumped the gun.....was the immediate disappointment blues and was not thinking rationally

If you check the vintage speakers section I think there may be a schematic there you can use.

fortunately it turned out to be a simple problem - a fuse. The fuse looks good , but I checked it with the meter and it was reading like 1.2 Mohms. The wire inside sure looks intact, must be broken or burnt near an end where it is hidden.
Sorry, but thanks to everyone for the offers and the info
