and now they have the ethernet port so you can do your BD-Live or other streaming from the internet.
One thing to note that is now missing...the analog outputs. No more 7.1 outs from the player to your legacy AVR. Unless you want to spring for the top of the line 09 that uses a DAC on each output and sounds great that way butt is a lot more $$$ than what most are willing to spend..

Wonder if they are as slow and buggy as the old Pioneer BD players. Curious who's building them now, Pioneer, or Sharp:

eh I've never had a problem with mine being "buggy" at all. They are slower for load up times but apart from that I loved the thing.

I just picked a couple of open box specials from Ultimate Electronics, a BDP-05FD, & a BDP-320. Both have analog 7.1 out, & both, so far, appear to be pretty decent players. The wife even likes them!

Our BDP-320 has been awesome! Had to get a firmware upgrade for Avatar but that was fairly painless. Load time issues with this player are not an issue unless your expectations are "instant" on. Or maybe time passes more easily for some ... hard to say.
BluRay movies are amazing but upconverting DVDs has more than met our high expectations. Again, as advertised.
If another manufacrurer is now making Pioneer's players we hope it's to specs established by Pioneer.Marantz AV7005

Same thing here, a little slow but truly a great Blu ray and DVD up conversion player. Love mine too.........
