Here's my e-mail chain with Onyko so far:

Me: Comments: recently, the HDMI inputs in the 876 seem to have stopped working completely. I have had it hooked up for over a year without any challenge, and within the last two weeks I have been getting a "No Signal" message upon startup. It seems to correct itself if I unplug it and refire, but today it completely quit despite several restarts. Other input methods seem to be working correctly. Is HDMI failure a common issue on these models? Is there anyway to reboot the system to correct this? (which I then figured out)

Them: Nick, To do the reset you need to turn the receiver on, then on the front panel of the receiver press and hold the "VCR/DVR" button while doing that press the "STANDBY/ON" button. You will see the word "Clear" in the display screen and the receiver will go into standby mode. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU WILL LOOSE ALL YOUR AUDIO & VIDEO ASSIGNMENTS ON THE RECEIVER PLUS YOU WILL LOOSE ALL YOUR SPEAKER CONFIGURATIONS, SPEAKER DISTANCE AND ALL LEVEL CALIBRATION SETTINGS. YOU WILL ALSO LOOSE ANY PROGRAMMED RADIO STATIONS IN MEMORY. Once the receiver goes into standby mode turn it back on and go thru the setup menu for all custom settings. If this does not work then it will need to go to a service center. Authorized service centers can be found on our website at www.onkyousa.com under support.

Thank you,

Eric F.
