the problem I am having now is that i am trying to install Adobe flash.. because a lot of web sites use it.. somehow someone deleted it from my laptop

now when I download and try to installed Adobe Flash.. i get an error.. something about GUI not found. so without said GUI, i can't install and run Adobe Flash.

any computer guru's know how I get my the GUI and Adobe Flash to install correctly on Win Vista?

It would be helpful if you could post the EXACT wording of the error given by the Flash installer (usually Googling the exact phrase given to you in an error message gives a pretty good set of solutions).
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I recommend backing up your critical data and re-installing your whole operating system. Sounds like you've got corrupted/missing files, especially if you are having problems on a regular basis.

Try looking in Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs>Adobe Flash.
Check to see if the uninstaller is in the list, if so run it. Then reinstall flash.
    See if this helps.

As Bill has said above you may be looking at OS corruption or a possible an underlying virus Also hardware problems such as hard drive or failing memory can be cause of continued headache.

Oh yeah, definitely worth looking at. I'd run a hard drive diagnostic and a memory test as well.

I think it's time to go shopping DB. Get yourself a nice new rig, transfer files. Reformat the old one, give it to a nephew or family member.

Should just be a plugin for the browsers. Whatever browser you're using, there should be a page with a flash ad or video embedded that says you need it, go here, etc. etc. Firefox will block the install unless you explicitly say it's fine, fine.
It really is a buggy POS since Adobe bought them out. I can't fault Steve Jobs for pissing on them about it.

Also, you guys try googling your problems once in a while also?

Whenever you're dealing with Adobe products, sometimes the uninstall goes awry but they're usually good about having a separate uninstaller. Try using the uninstaller software in the link below, reboot, and try reinstalling again.

    Good luck.
