Upgrading setup

I am looking to upgrade my RM6750 speaker setup. Most of my home theater use is for watching sports on TV, but I do watch blue ray movies occasionally. I already upgraded the sub to a psw111 and I don't think I need anymore power at the moment, it does a great job. I am looking to use my 4 6751 speakers as my rear speakers and create a 7.1 system (already Onkyo TX-SR606), I don't think my wife will let me go any bigger for satellite speakers. Looking for recommendations for my center channel and front speakers. Would a CS2 and Monitor 60's be too powerful for the satellites in the rear? Would a CS1 and Monitor 50's be a better match? The room is 15X18 in size. I'm looking for a system that will last me a good 5-7 years before upgrading again. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the reply. Would the CS2 and the Monitor 60's be the best I can do up front without overpowering the rear 6751's? Money is not an issue, just looking to get the best setup up front that won't overpower the rear.

As long as your reciever is configured properly your surrounds will never overpower your fronts. Your reciever only sends the power/data that the DVD tells it to send to those speakers. Most DVD's never send tons of info to the surrounds so your golden.

Those speakers will work fine for what you want.

As long as your reciever is configured properly you will be fine. Your recievers auto calibration program matches them all level wise to ensure everything matches.

That means normally your fronts are overpowering your rears simply because they are producing more of the sound (but all the speakers are level matched). Your surrounds mostly are just producing the spatial sounds so you feel where you are in relation to the sound (i.e. bullet passing by you). Most of the heavy lifting is done by your fronts so dont skimp on them ~90% of your dialog comes from your center and ~70% comes from the right and left speaker.

Those speakers will work fine for what you want. I am running the same setup w/ Monitor 40's as rear's and it all plays quite nice together. :) Just run your recievers auto calibration and ensure the crossover's are set correctly and your good to go.
