Hey Nathan how are you? Not to make you envious or anything like that but I got a pair of original SDA SRS's local to me a little bit ago for next to nothing and am enjoying them in the garage, they dont look as nice as the 1.2 TL's but they are a bargain at the price.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

    Snow,
I am fine. I would have been better if you hadn't dropped that bombshell!!!!!
I religously check the listings up here and must have missed them.
    Nice score!
Hell, I found an ADCOM 5800 that disappeared before I could get into town and that has been it.
Well, if you grow tired of them let me know. Hate to see a man's garage get to cluttered!!!
I'll be in FBX for a run on 8/4/10, hope it stops raining by then.

These were never on CL I was talking to a fellow about my polks and he mentioned that he knew a fellow in northpole that a huge pair of polks that a renter had left and gave me his PH # of course I wasnt really beliving that they were SDA SRS's or even better another pair of 1.2TL's but had to see for myself and went out there and sure enough he wasnt lying. I am truly ashamed to say what I had to give for these so I wont :o but I was rubbing my hands together all the way back to fairbanks.

Oddly enough it has been an extremely wet summer up here also. It might be a while before I get tired of these :p

Is your garage heated? You live in Alaska right? How do SDA's perform in -50 temperatures?
Yes I live in Alaska. Having a non heated garage up here in the interior would be like having a house in Death valley with no AC it wouldndt be very useful :p

As far as SDA's performing at -50 I dont think it would be a good idea to even try :D at those temperatures things get very brittle even metal is prone to break.

I know I'm a noob, and I don't qualify for this yet anyway, but I couldn't find any info on what "karma" is exactly and how it works?
Thanks for answering something you've probably answered a million times

Welcome to CP Troy. Karma's here at CP are basically the members giving back to the community that has helped them in one way or another and nurtures the spirit of solidarity and family. A karma can be anything that a member wants to pass on to another member without gain.

It is one of the things that make CP unique from most other foums even though I have seen members from other forums give things away none come close to the generosity of the members here.

Most times you see Karma's being gave away with some form of restriction on them whether it be length of membership or post count, and this is done not to punish newcomers or those with few posts but rather to encourage them to be active in the forum.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....
