Paradigm cc-690 v.5 versus new LSI center channel???
Good morning guys.I need more than my current lsic is giving me.I am concerned about timbre matching during ht use.I know Paradigm speakers tend to sound bright so that is a concern.Obviously, very few people know what the new Polk c.channel sounds like.So my thoughts are neither the Paradigm or the new LSI center will be a seamless match.I found an old thread were someone was running a Paradigm center and was very happy.I know everybody's ears are different.I read some killer reviews on the cc690 v.5 and want to try it.I imagine I could always sell it if I don't like it.There is a Paradigm dealer close by but it is highly unlikely he would let me bring the 15's in to see how well they play together. Not only that, all equipment and acoustics would be different so it could be an exercise in futility...Please let me hear your thoughts/opinions on this. Thx, Eddie

Paradigms sound very different from the Polk LSi. I'd say you'd be able to pull it off with the Polk RTi's, but the Paradigms have a very forward tweeter that will overwhelm the LSi. The LSi has a more nuanced and detailed tweeter, but it isn't nearly as accentuated (loud) as the tweeter in the Paradigm.
I love the Paradigm studios, but I wouldn't recommend the Paradigm center with your LSi's. When it comes to picking a center channel, timbre matching is the most important factor! My System Showcase!
