I built a shelf above my TV(make sure you screw into the studs). My CS2 and DVD player and Xbox360 are all on it. Deuce

i was hoping not to have to make something.
post a pic of yours if you will?mole' -
I have a DLP, and have the CSi5 above it. I'm using the Omnimount Set Top Component Shelf to accomplish this. Not sure if it will work for an LCD, but the legs offer various lengths and positions that make it a pretty sturdy.
Pictures of the shelf, from the side, can be seen here:

If that won't work, they might have another solution for you.

The omnimount listed above wouldn't work for me since my TV is too thin.
This is what I use:

You can find it for 30 bucks shipped online. It feels quite sturdy when screwed into studs, I believe it's advertised to hold 30 or 35 pounds which would accomidate the CS2.
Edit: I also shyed away from the omnimount since some reviews I found of it said that it colapsed under the weight of a center speaker after time. -
I would put a shelf into some studs on a downward slope and put something on the front lip to stop it from sliding forward. This way its sturdy, and also points down at the listening position.

It took me forever to find something like these -- for a long while I considered building something myself, but I was happy to find these. -
