I freaking paid for a Parasound amp on the 16th....and just received a tracking number today after numerous emails. What is wrong with some of these people. Now the dilemma is to stick him with a bad feedback even if the amp shows up in good, working order. Idiots....(just venting).

Not unless its broken. I get mad when people don't communicate also, but a negative fb is pretty serious. Just give a positive and say "slow to ship" or something.

I guess in the end as long as the item arrives in good order, all is well.
But lack of communication isn't going to make me a repeat customer. I told myself I was going to stick to CP or Audiogon, but I'm a sucker for a 'deal' I guess.

I give up on Ebay. The last transaction, I bought a CD - the ad said "Perfect". It came scratched and the CD skipped because of it. I left a negative feedback. He wrote me an email and said he wished I would have given him a chance to make it right. I told him that he shouldn't put perfect on it if it was perfect. Am I going to ship it back, go through all the hassle, for a 4 dollar CD? Stop putting perfect on it, and you'll be fine. I have another thread with an awful Ebay experience of mine. I am only dealing local from now on.

It's frustrating I know, but a week is about the going time for people to ship these days.

There is usually a shipping time frame posted in the listing, did you see that? Regardless, you should not leave negative feedback because someone didn't ship as fast as you thought they should. eBay has a rating system for the shipping end of things.

If it's a good deal and arrives in good shape, be good back to him. If he packed it like crap, let him have both barrels.
    My 3 cents.

Agreed....Try waiting over 2 months for an ebay seller to ship. I did a couple years ago on a 300.00+ piece of gear and left the b*tch a well earned neg. She retaliated with a neg on my perfect track record, of course.

Only time I ever ran into that was on a pair of Polk Speakers!!!:eek:

I left the guy neutral, but I'd already filed a complaint and knew he'd be driven off ebay.

I buy and sell on ebay, collectible toys, all the time and my turn around time on a sale is generally 3-5 business days (ie a week) and it is stated in my ads as handling time 5 business days. I think unless you are a powerseller store and ebay is not a significant portion of your income then a week turn around is standard b/c people do have lives, but it is crappy if he's not communicating well as it is not hard to return an email.

I usually only buy from recommended sellers or whatever they call it on there.
I always post feedback as well.
And every time I clicked and bought from a recommended seller, it has always been a good experience.

A week is not unreasonable, unless of course, he stated that shipping would be sooner.Take a chill pill before you stroke out!!

Today is 7 weeks since I paid for an SAE pre amp from a guy on Canuck Audio Mart (similar to Audiogon). Two days ago he sends me an email saying don't worry I'll be shipping soon. WTF??? I've written it off. What is wrong with some people?
