I don't have TL's but this is my 2.3 upgraded XO.
Hope this helps Cincy -

On a side note.
I didn't do the XO's but I recomend doing a complete re-solder of the board.
My bro did mine and he said that some of the solder joints were not done well.
He was convinced that a cold solder was causing my tweeters blowing.
Once the whole board was re-done I never had a problem.
Got to love brothers that know there stuff. -
this is great! i have a pair in my basement that need their xovers done so hopefully I can send them out to Ben soon. I am currently using my SDA 2A's due to room size but some day when I have a place to play them the 2.3's will be awesome.
thanks for the pics! -
I tried to order the 10 and 12.5 ohm mills and soniccaft is closed till the 27th. I think I will start with the rings and fat mat and see where I get. Kinda tired. Had a big weekend mtn bike riding in St Helens. Awesome rides.Main system: Lyngdorf TDAI 2170 w/ Pioneer 42" plazma-> Polk LSiM 703 w/Tivo, Marantz tuner, BRPTT: Nothingham Spacedeck-> Pioneer PL L1000 linear arm-> Soundsmith DL 103R-> SUT->Bottlehead ErosDigital: I3 PC w/ Jriver playing flac -> Sonore Ultrarendu -> Twisted Pair Audio ESS 9028 w/ Mercury IVY Vinyl rips: ESI Juli@24/192-> i3 PC server

So I finally made time to finish the x overs on the 2.3s. I have been on vacation so I had time to think about the process and it went well. I talked to Jeff at Sonicraft about the 22.5 ohm resistor and he said he didnt like series runs of resistors. So I left it as a 22 and called it good. I used a 0.5 ohm 12 watt for the poly switch and no bypass caps. I fat matted, drilled, ringed, and mortited both over the weekend. After the x over upgrade I noticed that the right speaker is much louder than before. I've had issues with the balance of these speakers and always blamed the LDR preamp I made or the TPA dac. In the process of removing all the drivers I found I have a 6510 (4 ohm) in place of the 6511 (7 ohm) that is needed. I posted a WTB for the 6511 and Larry the life saver ring man may have a 6511 for me. So after I replace the 6510 I will have to rebalance the setup. I have the radio playing 24/7 and hope to hear a new pair of speakers soon. It will be nice to hear these speakers in their best form ever. A few photos of the size difference of the caps and the mounted caps. Thanks for all the help with this upgrade. I would have never had the nerve to do it on my own.Main system: Lyngdorf TDAI 2170 w/ Pioneer 42" plazma-> Polk LSiM 703 w/Tivo, Marantz tuner, BRPTT: Nothingham Spacedeck-> Pioneer PL L1000 linear arm-> Soundsmith DL 103R-> SUT->Bottlehead ErosDigital: I3 PC w/ Jriver playing flac -> Sonore Ultrarendu -> Twisted Pair Audio ESS 9028 w/ Mercury IVY Vinyl rips: ESI Juli@24/192-> i3 PC server

The speakers have had a cdp on repeat for about 2 weeks. They have burned nicely. The bass is the most pleasant suprise! The speakers are so much smoother, easier to listen to. The edgy, harsh, sibilence is gone. They still have another 100 hours to go so they can only get better. I need to measure the poly caps I removed to see if the 0.5 ohm mills I used are the closest value available. When I got these speakers they already had the rdo 194 tweeters so the only thing I did is replace the resistors, caps, installed Larry's rings, new binder posts, fatmat, and mortite. Sounds like a lot but it wasn't too hard and sounds like a new set of speakers. The midrange is amazing. Thats what is the most improved. Thanks to everyone for the igreat how to posts, deas and support. This is the best forum! Acoustic panels are next. I have a moratorium on any hardware changes until I make 6 panels. Rock on!!!!!!!Main system: Lyngdorf TDAI 2170 w/ Pioneer 42" plazma-> Polk LSiM 703 w/Tivo, Marantz tuner, BRPTT: Nothingham Spacedeck-> Pioneer PL L1000 linear arm-> Soundsmith DL 103R-> SUT->Bottlehead ErosDigital: I3 PC w/ Jriver playing flac -> Sonore Ultrarendu -> Twisted Pair Audio ESS 9028 w/ Mercury IVY Vinyl rips: ESI Juli@24/192-> i3 PC server

Thanks for posting pictures and what your impressions are! I am hoping to be able to have Ben do mine over the winter.... Can't wait.

Congrats and thanks as well for the update and 22 ohm resistor input. Where did the time go? I ended up taking a contract job and still have all the pieces except the 194s. That and my baby started walking at 10 months old so he is everywhere if I turn around. Looks like tweets for xmas and an upgrade new years upgrade resolution will be my schedule!
