Animal Games

Anyone out there have any special games you play with your pets?

I have a cat, Tyler. We play this game where I lay at the top of the stairs with a rolled up 8.5 X 11 piece of notebook paper. If he comes up over the top of the stairs, I get to beat the heck out of him with paper wad. A huge fight ensues.

He then retreats over the edge of the steps to hide and lash out at me. He knows the "rules," I can't whack him as long as he doesn't come over the top of the stairs. That's his safe zone.

But pretty soon he comes back over the top and we fight again. Goes on forever. He just loves it. :D:D

I tell Jacquee (my pit) to 'box' or I just raise my fists as if ready to fight and she'll get on her hind legs and throw blows with her front legs lol.

Back when my cat chloe was much younger we use to play fetch. i would wad a piece of paper and be at one end of the hall and she would be at the other. throw it up in the air at her and she would jump and catch or at least bat at it. I would tell her "bring it back" and she would pick it up in her mouth, bring it back to me and drop it at my feet and run back to the end of the hall again. pretty darn cool, worked until she got too smart.

to this day though when she hears a piece of paper being wadded up she falls flat to the floor and her eyes get real big, but all she does is bat at it :)

I wrestle with my cat, he's a handful. Trying to pin 25lbs of muscle-y cat is not an easy task.

He also likes to chase a laser pointer.

My dogs love the laser pointer. Hours of entertainment. Other then that they love to play fetch.

How the hell do you wrestle with a cat? (I mean without hurting him) I have a 150 lb Dane that I wrestle with, and that is a serious workout, though he's getting old, and thankfully doesn't have the wind he once had.

25 lbs of cat sounds more like a bean bag chair.
