    As stated, they are factory direct. Sound Soltuions is not a Polk dealer, thus we cannot say they are Polk, when in fact, they are still from one of their manufacturing plants using their technology and specifications.

    OK, so if I sell my Polks at a yard sale I have to take off the logos because I cant say that they're Polk? :rolleyes:

    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Up for grabs are brand new factory direct THX speakers from a manufacturer of Polk Audio. We just got this shipment in, and take my word for it, this system sounds incredible! I have heard them all, Klipsch, Bose, Polk...they are all incredible. The system you are buying will compete with all of those! These being Polk manufactured of course sound amazing. This system is hot stuff, and is even amazing for our normal price of $1,999.95. These speakers going for $349.00 is nothing more than a gift from us to you. Why am I selling these so cheap? Several reasons. Our inventory has gotten too large and must be reduced. Also, Sound Solutions and Electronics is new to the eBay market. We are trying to establish business on eBay and increase our positive feedback list as much as we can. In an attempt to do that, you get a steal on these speakers.

    So this Polk system will compete with Polk? And you really half to wonder who is doing the stealing :(

    A white van with the "Sound Soltuions" logo tried to sell me speakers in a Burger King parking lot - no ****. The box said $1995 and they would be willing to make a deal so they could hit the girlie bars tonight. I elected to pass on the deal. Now, if there were genuine LSI's in the van.... I might have considered the deal.

    The white van deal is also in the DC area.

    I have been in Home Depot parking lot and been damn near assaulted by these crack smoking speaker salesmen.... I asked them if they would demo their goods at my house, they said no problem man, but we gotta make a deal quick....I added that if they didnt sound better than my current speakers could I then shoot them in cold blood....no deal, they just looked at me weird and left.

    The white van tactic is everywhere, usually near a campus or military base. they approach young guys, alone, and try to get you a cash purchase right now - "these were overstocked on a delivery, not on any invoice, and we got em right now." It is a story designed to get your greed up, but it is not a true story. This is direct marketing - the pitch is a shady one, but if you were a cop, these guys have everything they need to show you they're legit. If $300 is a good price for "Coustic" speakers in your eyes, feel free to buy em...and for fun, ask em for a receipt - they will probably give you one to make the sale.
