Surround bar 360 hook up

I want to know the best way to hook ip my surround bar.I have a cable box and a playstation that I use for my DVDs and CDs.I therefore only want to use the surround bar unit for output of the tv and playstation and aren't interested in the unit's built in DVD capability.Thank you!
