Have a Luxman M-117 running a pair of Yamaha NS-200M's and thats way too much power for them, I don't have alot of wiggle room with the volume knob on my preamp. Plus, they take up too much room in my one car garage. So looking for a set of smaller bookshelf speakers that are say mid 80's in efficency. The Luxman has to stay so I have to deal with that....

Those were specs for Monitor 5jr+ models. The "Plus" version replaced the port in the original Monitor 5jr with a passive radiator.

I saved this from the forum and don't know who to thank for it.

If it was from this, I had created it several years ago. Maybe one of these days I'll continue it.

I have a set of 5JR's and the vinyl is kind of sticky, like someone used a cleaning agent on them. Is there anything I can do to correct that or should I just leave it alone? They are just sticky enough to make them mildly stick to surfaces they are set on. So far it hasn't been a problem but I do wonder if at some point this could get to the point where the vinyl could peel from the cabinets. As on now I just use a folded dish towel underneath them
