Polk came out with new amps - still PA series but smaller in size and look different then PA's we're all used to - 500.4, 600.1, 1200.1..........

Now i see there's a whole new line of speakers - DXi

Not much info/specs on them yet, some don't have anything except for "info coming soon...." but it's out nevertherless.

Anyone got info on them?? Or better yet are they replacing BD series??
They sure look more like DBs (especially the crossover on the comps) and are in the same price range. Would like to see specs, review and hear them for myself.

Looks like they are their new mainstream series based on the price. They are about 10-20% more expensive than the DB series. From the PR stuff they look like all round speakers (Car, Boat, Motorcycle, RV). Not sure what the technical differences are since I don't have time to do a side-by-side comparison of the PR bumf.

EDIT: Just noticed that the "Customer Reviews" link for the new sub/enclosure DXi112 was pointed at the reviews for the dbl1222. Coincidence or by purpose? :p

Funny how Best Buy already has some of the DXi speakers on sale but still no info as to rms/max/ohms.... Even Polk's site doesn't have that info yet lol.

With the MM's now the flagship, I guess Polk needed something between the db's and the MM's.

What they needed was a SR-II series! ;)

Hell, at least give us a SR junior line. If DEI doesnt want to invest in $900 speakers at least throw us audiophiles a bone and come out with something in the $500 area. Whats gonna happen when my SR's go **** up? What will I compete with then?
