Is crossover on MMC690 bi-amp'able?
It is on MMC6500, figured it might be on mmc690 as well.....

also, i entertain the thought of getting rid of my 12'' DB sub to make room in my trunk and replace it with MMC690. Yes, i know it will not be the same but since trunk space been an issue for me lately all things concidering i might just get rid of the sub. :(

Sooo.... how would 690 perform bass-wise?
Also - how are they on mis-bass/mid-range??? I don't mind having them in the rear really, highs will be disconnected offcourse...

I ran mine kinda bi-amped. I ran the tweeter thru the crossover off the front amp channels and I ran the mid full range off the rear amp channels. I thought it sounded great. Those Momo 6x9's are still my favorite coaxial speakers Ive ever heard.

So if i was to get MMC690 instead of My 12'' DB sub - what would i gain/lose??
(except for the obviuos - trunk space lol)

I'm assuming a lot less bass, more mids and more volume. Yes? No?

If you remove the sub and run the 690's in the rear deck, you'll miss out on the 20-40hz range. Thats a lot of impact. the 6x9's will dig down to 40ish hz but not much lower.

I started off with the momo comps upfront then added the 6x9 at the back to get more bass. It didn't give me what I wanted and once I installed a sub, I didn't need the 6x9's anymore.

I think you'll miss your sub if go with the 6x9. Also, remember Mac ran his 6x9 in the front door of his truck IIRC. I think he was using a sub with them as well.

^^^ i'm not expecting mmc690s to replace the sub, obviously there will be tons of bass lost but when having space in the trunk comes into play u have to sacfirice something :(
Yes, i know, i can can rid of my spare tire, get another slim sub under the seat... but it's a daily driver and i don't have much free time right now for all those "custom sub enslosures"..
I'll see how bad it's be, maybe i'll end up getting slim sub under the seat. Don't know yet.

while we're at it - i never had a sub under the seat - it there something to be aware of before i even start looking for one?
