Banana plug for Polk monitor 70

I found that the normal size banana plug below not fitting into the Polk monitor 70. The below plug is too big to fit into the monitor 70 due to the puffy section in the middle.

Any suggestion for what size of banana connector fits the Polk 70? I found it weird that some threads mentioned using the above banana plug just fine, so I wonder if it's me doing something wrong, or those threads were referring to different models of speaker.

that puffy section in the middle is made to compress in the hole in the speaker. it makes for a tight fit. It should fit any standard banana plug input on the speaker (are you sure the input on the speaker is in fact a banana input?)
If you can, snap a pic of it, if its a standard banana input you shouldnt be having a proble, like I said, the fat part compresses (and it will resist) when you put it in (avoiding all ridiculous sexual inuendos here )
I use those plugs all the time, they actually are my favorite ones to useLiving Room 2 Channel -

Thanks. I got it. Need to push it harder in order to get it all the way in. The fat part is elastic.

Hi everyone,
I am new here, just bought Polk 70s to go with a HK 3490 receiver, and (because I am totally all thumbs with wiring, etc) I seem to have bare wires and am not sure how to connect them...can anyone give me some help? I am not sure how to attach the bare wires to the Polks (on the HK you unscrew and fit the wires into a slot and rescrew). Thanks in advance!
