in Damascus, MARYLAND! Registered a 3.6 and woke up up. Rattled two pictures off of a shelf in our bedroom and woke the kids. We live right in the epicenter area. Nothing major, but really interesting. I never thought living here we would ever get an earthquake. http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local-beat/36-Magnitude-Earthquake-Shakes-DC-Region-98589124.html

We felt one here in N.E., Ohio last month on June 23 just before 2 PM.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 5.5-magnitude earthquake on the border between Ontario and Quebec in Canada and it was felt in the Akron-Cleveland area and as far away as Syracuse, N.Y.
We've had tremors here before, but it is still on the rare side in these parts. I don't know if it's just that we are more aware because of improved communications, but the frequency of these events seems to be increasing.VTL ST50 w/mods / RCA6L6GC / TlfnknECC801S

WOW Shawn, we heard it around 5:00AM yesterday morning and thought it was thunder, it rolled again and I looked out the windows and saw only stars. I thought maybe there was some static in sky that was evening out but now that I see this thread it turns out we heard the rumbling. Cool!

My wife and son were entralled with 2012, I yawned the whole time as I found it sooooo predictable as well as the special effects were way overdone. Just another one of the those boring movies that use special effects to WOW you.
