RT600i Setup
Ok Guys...
I bought some RT600i's from a member here that I haven't yet recieved because we're still working out some details, but I'd like to get an idea of the best wiring and placement for these guys.
Maybe I should post some pictures of my living room so you guys can see what I have to work with because I keep hearing that you want to keep these guys out of corners and away from walls. I don't know how possible BOTH of those things will be for me.
What about BI-Wiring? What is the best setup for these in correlation with my PSW-450?
I realize that I don't have the best equipment, but I have plans on uprgading my speakers and equip. 1 by 1.
I'll be getting a CS40i, moving these RT600i's from the mains to the rear and replacing them with RTi70's. I'll be upgrading my reciever to the Denon AVR-3803 and going to 7.1 with the FXi50's for surrounds.
Anyhow...my current setup is in my sig. I have Monster XP Cables as well.

I have my 600i's about 2 feet from the front wall and 3 feet from the side walls...about 7 feet apart. I have the 450 as well and run the 600i's on small (as well as my 400i and 35i's). If i had a larger room I could get better sound, but it still sounds pretty good.

How do I set my speakers to "small"? I know this is a n00b question, but i've been told to do this before and was never actually told how or maybe I missed it.

there is a setting in the setup of your receiver. you may have to check the manual....oh and nice hacker talk....just wait till you get to be l33t.

I am 1337, I'm 23 and spent most of my formative teenage years on the internet.

**** 1337 is what i meant....i have computer geek friends (no offense) but never really got into the lingo...anyway, by setting your speaks to small, you're going to cut the bass below 80 hertz to them....oh and i forgot to ask you how you had the sub hooked up. Looking back and seeing that you have the small sats as mains before the 600i's, you prolly have the sub hooked up as speaker level and are running everything full range. I have mine hooked up with the sub preout from my receiver with an rca sub cable....this works out because the 600i's can handle the bass below 120 or so that the sats can't.

I don't think anybody has addressed your bi-wire question. Can't do it. 600's only have one set of terminals.
FWIW, I'm using 600's as surrounds in my 5.1 and they sound incredible
