Monitor 30 Port Stuffing
Hi there guys,
I recently upgraded from my Logitech Z-2300 computer speakers, to a Yamaha RX-V495 (used from CL), and a pair of Monitor 30s from Newegg which should be here soon.
I will be using these speakers in a nearfield setup on my desk, which means they will be close to the wall, maybe 1-2" of space between the port and wall. I am wondering what the problems with having the port this close to the wall are? Also, I was wondering if there would be any benefits to stuffing the port? I will be using this mainly for music, so I am wondering if the stuffed port will provide any benefit in that regard.
Thanks,
Nick

The only way to know for sure, is to find out for yourself. If they sound boomy, stuffing the port may help since it rolls off the bottom end earlier."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche
