My new work project

This one will be kind of cool since its going close to here. It will be installed in Thornton CO right by the interstate I believe. It will be two of these 16' figures holding each others wrist in opposition, this one is near complete and The second one is about half done. We have a reveal date of Aug 5th or so so we need to get cracking. I will post more pics as we get further along.

Very cool sculpture. And speaking of SDA's - Larry, do you know if the guy in Denver sold his on CL (the one who still had the original boxes)? I went to contact him this weekend and the listing had been pulled.

Yes, Kevin and I have talked. I hope to get over to listen to his 15's soon. Unfortunately (or fortunately) he is a better person than a salesman. He said if I were smart I should go after the SDAs on CL. That's a really cool sculpture. Does it owe anything to HR Geiger (sp?) in the way of inspiration? Kinda reminiscent of some of his bio-mech stuff.

we got them transported today and set up. Tomorrow finish welding them together in a bucket on a forklift, then grind and finish patina, Wednesday we will bring an even bigger crane and set them in place.

Thanks! I am so beat after getting those unloaded and being in the sun all day. It will be nice to see this done. -
finally got it installed, anyone passing through Denver this is at the Thornton Parkway and I-25 right in front of the courthouse.
