what is the difference between a 2 channel amp that says 250 - 300 watt program and a amp that says 300 watt x 2. both are 8 ohms!

The first amp would be a 300 watt amp and the 2nd would be a 600 watt amp.
That is about the best answer (really no answer) since actual spec's would be needed.
I assume that an amp that rates it's wattage as 'program' would have a peak of 2 to 2.5 times 'program' -
that is what i was assuming that a amp that says 300 watt per channel (program) is not 300 watt continuous per channel. if anyone else has any info it would help. Thanks
