SR124 inside a polk-made box for db124 ??

I currently have polk's DB1212. From what i understand it's DB124 sub in a Polk-made enclosure. There's no info on the size of the box but going by Polk's reccomendations for ported db124 i'd assume it's 1.50 cu. ft.
To be honest thou, it seems a little to big for 1.50 cu tf but i could be wrong.

If i were to get SR124dvc would it be a good idea to install it in the same box??
Per Polk recomended size for ported SR124 is 2.20 cu/ft.

So - can i use 1.50 ported box for SR124 (which would need 2.20) ??
That is if my box is indeed 1.50, i'm not 100% sure.

I've heard that the SR-sub works well in small boxes. As long as it's
enclosed, it's not very important to get it on the desilitres correct.

The internal volume on that box is under 2.0 cu ft. With internal bracing, port and subtracting the driver it's probably closer to 1.50 cu ft. The SR124 needs 2.20 cu ft for a ported box. So using the port may not be a good idea for the Sr124. Blocking the port and making it a sealed box would work though. In fact it would be the perfect size for a sealed box per Polks recommendations for sound quality.
