Just won my HT receiver - I know, its a receiver, its a little outdated - but it will do what I need it to do. Itll pass HDMI, it has pre outs - does some decent 5.1 -- but most importantly itll shake a few things up!

Now I just gotta land an amp - but I think I will rig it up for a bit for the receiver just to get it going...

It is going to be pretty cool - we will have three subwoofer hook ups wired up around the room --

And I found plates that can be ran beside outlets - so it will be stealthy!

And behind the VMPS - I will have a RCA in case of a future change, a speaker jack set, and an outlet on a triple gang box. Will be sweet.

I think behind the TV I am going to run two four sets of posts - in case I want to run the center off the receiver or a separate amp....

    WIll be stealth!

    I got the VSX 21TXH

I use to have a Pioneer Elite receiver a long time ago - and that sound signature is still some of the best HT I have heard to date...

So - I hope this unit with some better features will work better for me! :)

    I received the pioneer today.

    This thing is a beast...

I think this weekend I am going to run wire through the walls and stuff...

Going to set it up where I can run seperate amps or through the receiver through the walls.

I am sending the signal for separates to the master bedroom closet (including the LFE signal for the VMPS & zone 2) ---- then running all the speaker wire back into the den

Then I am going to have binding post on a keystone running in the den for the other stuff... so should be a slick install!

There will be four points for a LFE hook up direct from the AVR - one in each front corner of the room, which will be utilized by the main subwoofers with the Candela -- one at the VMPS (unused) and one to the closet.

There will be several HDMI ins ran from other parts of the house to the den - then into the Pioneer then out of the pioneer into a switcher out to three TVs.

In other words - there is going to be alot of wiring... lol

Oh yes - all RCA connections in the room will be traveling long distance through regular coaxial wire with f connectors (screw type) to keystone that go f connector to RCA

I love my vsx-21txh, perfect for movies and tv. Have not really tested the amp section, but the pre and features work great. For the money, its the best deal out there. Now that I have my Krell running the 2ch Im a happy man. Although I feel my next upgrade will be moving up the dynaudio food chain.
Living Room setup: Pioneer Elite VSX-21TXH, Krell KAV 300i, PS Audio DL III DAC, Tyler Acoustics Taylo 7u, Dynaudio Audience 120C+, SVS 25/31PCI, B-P-T Clean Power Center, Ps3, Panny 50" S1 Plasma, Tekline speaker cables, Audio Art interconnects, and Pangea power cables.

But I have to go to Firefold tomorrow and some Monoprice stuff arrives Tuesday to button it all up with!

Should be back up and running Tuesday!

This didnt work out as well as I hoped. I came home today and tugged on the top speaker and it had gave way a bit...

So I ripped it down - I threw a bunch of screws in the studs on both sides of where the monitor is going to give that old sheatrock some new grip ----

Cut out a hole - put a 1x2x10" strip behind the the wall in a vertical path --- NOW SOME MEAT!!!!!

Did the same thing down below!

Left surround is mounted - this is what it looks like mounted, wired up - the whole nine yards.

You can't see any wall plate or wire unless you look at it from the left side at the door...

    I like it

Excellent work bro. How does the two small speakers your using as centers sound? Does your pre have MCACC and did you run any room correction yet? Like the look of those super towers, sweet setup.

I'd like to take a moment to comment on the dual center configuration.

I have never ran centers like this - and IMO they should not make traditional centers. This is the smoothest transition of vocals from across a front stage I have heard. Height and location is spot on --- good horizontal dispersion.

I am very impressed. I am glad I went this route and I am also glad I upgraded the crossovers in those speakers, nice - clean, smooth highs that blend real well with the Tylers for Home theater... :)
