    Wow, 1937. People would have heard about the stock market crash. Listened to FDR give his fire side chats. Germany invading Poland, Pearl Harbor being attacked. VE Day, the atom bombs ending the war.
    Amazing thinking about what sounds it would have produced. Thanks for posting!

    ...Glad members can appreciate the "beggins" of quality audio. I was an Architect/builder/cabinet maker. To build that cabinet today would cost over a grand for "ONE". Sure it could be mass produced....but with the original quality. Fore runner of the 50's Juke Box. The GOOD "ole" days. End of the war of all wars....own your own home.....and the day of the "Cocktail" after work!!

    ...Too bad that time period "SUCKED" for "girls" & "blacks". Otherwise , it was a Great time to be a "kid".

    ...but the 60's and 70's changed that. Ain't so bad being an ole part of history.
