I use the old RS reciever and transmitter, they look like small pyrimids, to operate all my equipment in the closet. Are you using a wired system? I tried a wired system from Parts Express and it didn't work that well. The only issues with the RS system is you need to play with positions. I have 4 transmitters in various locations and only one reciever in the closet that operates all 4 components fine. I can operate the system from the 4 locations.
