JB Weld on MW drivers

I'm moving into a new apartment soon and I'm worried about the drivers in my Monitor 10's locking up during the trip. Fortunately, it's only 10 minutes away from my current one, so I might not need to worry, but paranoia makes me want to JB weld the magnet structure. I have no idea how to do this, so I was hoping someone could give me a step by step on the proper application of the weld? Also, does this risk any harm to the drivers or SQ? Thanks.

It will not harm any SQ. I don't think you have anything to worry about but I still recomend in doing the JB weld.Polk Audio SDA 2.3tl Fully Hot Rodded. 😎

Thanks guys. It probably isn't necessary, but rather be safe then sorry. I already had to buy a set of replacements from lightman, don't want to again. So only need to put weld around the actual magnets, as pictured? And two of my drivers are new replacements from 2004; do these have the same magnet shift issues?- Jeremy

Just be careful to keep it off of the front parts, I got a tiny bit on one of my 6510's rubber surrounds. What I really like to use for both mixing and applying JB is, a flexible, rounded tip, trowel shaped artist's palette knife.:)
