I have heard of the guy but really never listened to the guy. Well I went to Goodwill this morning picked up 10 vinyl records and 3 CD's for $8.33
One of the CD's was MOBY's PLAY what a fantastic CD and on the SDA's it's even better.
That is all..

haha, no flac is just a completely uncompressed file; its basically identical to the cd. Actually, ipods cannot play .flac files at all; they have to be converted to another format.
I gave up on apple/ipod and moved to Zune; much better- Jeremy

FLAC is open source, ALAC is the proprietary Apple version. -
He has put out a lot of good music. Though I have found out a lot is remixed from older artists. South side is a Johny Cash song for an example. I do say I like what he does with the remakes!Sunfire TGP, Sunfire Cinema Grand, Sunfire 300~2 (2), Sunfire True Sub (2),Carver ALS Platinum, Carver AL III, TFM-55, C-19, C-9, TX-8, SDA-490t, SDA-390t

I was listening to Moby way back when he was only heard in dance clubs and occasionally on music soundtracks. Mostly high energy dance techno and many were club standards. Then he came out with "Everything is Wrong" which was more soulful and less dance oriented. Play took that even further and created a new sub genre of music that was later dubbed as 'ambient techno', which proved to be a huge crossover for him into mainstream. I feel that 18 was mostly a redux of Play and that he lost much of his creative steam after that. I have a copy of Hotel, but I never really cared for it much. I haven't bothered with anything after that. For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

I love new threads that talk about bands that most of the world has already heard years ago. Actually that's cool....what's bonafide lame is ppl that haven't gotten past 1970.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Moby is a bit different in some ways. One being some people don't like that he's Vegan. I never really thought much of it seeing I enjoy his music even if he doesn't like baconTOOLFORLIFEFAN wrote: »Humm I still put on some Eminem now and then.
