thejck, you are better off calling Polk CS. I have been looking for some for a while, with no luck. Unfortunately, the SL6506 has been upgraded to the SL6511, so you would need to get both, IMHO. And they run $70 each, with the Forum discount.
What I ended up doing is just watching CL for some RT800's (same tweeters as my RT55's) that were relatively cheap. I got a pair of RT800's (with 'mauled' lower cabinets), a CS300 and a pair of RT25's for $120. When I get around to it, I figure I can probably break even selling the center and bookshelves.
I 'think" the only speakers that use that tweeter are the RT55i's, the Rt800i's and the Rti70's, but there could be more
Here's some RT-55's (doesn't say if they are "i's") for $70 a pair...that's a REALLY good deal

yeah i picked up that pair a few weeks ago hehe..
however i cannot bring myself to pull the tweeter out of them because they are in good condition.
also found out that they are not the i's..
so right now i have an extra set of speakers that I would love to bring back to life.
you dont happen to have a second tweeter that you want to sell?
I am hoping to find a set that is beat up that I can pull the tweeter without having to feel like i am killing a good polk. -
Sorry, I don't have any extra of the tweeter you need. I can tell you it is a PIA to remove the tweeter from the bezels. Are the cabs on the RT55's that bad? If not just use them, until you find a replacement.

yeah i am just going to use the rt55 until i find a replacement tweeter.
i was nervous pulling the tweeter out of that bezel but luckily i did not snap anything. -

Yep it is.
Edit: Doesn't matter if the speaker is an RT35 or RT35i, same goes for the RT600/800/1000 since they all utilize the same tri-laminate dome tweeter you're looking for. Another series is the older LS series, they too use the same tweeter.Truck setup

Are these the originals? I understand that the ones Polk sells are not the same as what they put into the 55's to start. Yes I still need one tweeter.
