SR6500 vs. SR5250

Well, I've been lucky now - I'm gonna get my hands on some SR6500's!
But I'm wondering, since I'm gonna use a two way front system with the
woofers in the doors and tweeters on dash, what is the big difference here?
I'll try switching out the SR5250-woofers with the 6500's when I get them, just
place them the same place and try to tune it right. But what should I expect here?

Also, how does the SR6500-woofers work as clean midbass speakers?
I have plan on running a three way front system later, with the 6500's
running in the doors (like 40-200hz or something), and the SR5250's in
the dash - together with the tweeters. It's not gonna be very soon tho.

Well? Anyone got any answer? I may try a couple of Tang Bands (2") on the dash,
playing down to around 1khz, and with the SR6500's down in the doors under 1khz. ;)

The 5250's have better midrange but the 6500's have far superior midbass.

And yes, the 6.5's work very well as dedicated midbass drivers. A 3 way setup with the 5.25's as mids and the 6.5's as midbass would work great.

Nice, thanks for reply. I'm looking forward to try 6500's - though the drivers I'm getting
isn't even broken in yet, so I can't expect a lot of midbass in the start you know. ;)

Wow, and I thought the SR5250 had great midbass - better than many 6.5" woofers I've heard,
but if the SR6500's has "far more superior midbass" than the 5250's, then I can't wait to hear it! :D
