Possibly moving, need help on new theater install

I may be moving in the next couple of months to a 'long-term' home. The house has a 18 X 25' room that will serve as the new Powell Cinemas. While there is more room than my current theater room, rear speaker placement is going to be a challenge.

The rear right wall is the only wall that has an acceptable location for a rear side speaker. For the two rear back speakers, the only way I can use the FX1000's is to orient them horizontally rather than vertically with one side of the drivers firing directly at the ceiling. For the left side surround, I can only orient an FX1000 firing towards the back wall.

My question, if I intend for this to be my long-term home, should I attempt the above configuration or sell my FX1000's:eek: and go with in-wall side and back rear surrounds?

If so, I would like them to timbre match the SRT's as much as possible. My guess is that a TCi series would be the best match from the new lineup or try and find some older in-walls that have the old RT series tweeter.

Thanks in advance.

Here's a picture looking from the front screen wall of the theater towards the back wall.

I would go with in-wall rear surrounds and in-ceiling side surrounds to get everything evenly matched up. Even though the AVR can adjust the delays for each speaker, it will definitely look out of place with the speakers in various positions. I'm still willing to say it will still have an effect on your side.

I know this will sound crazy... but why not suspend the F/X1000s from the ceiling on the sides? I know you can't wall mount them with your setup... but I would bet that you could suspend them from the ceiling using an Omnimount or something similar. You could even do that for the rear surrounds, mounted a bit away from the back wall, then angle them down so no one whacks their head on it as they walk through (and so they aim toward the listening area). Just something to consider.

Respectfully, I think in-ceiling side surrounds would be a bad idea considering how wide apart they would be. You're not going to get consistent frequency coverage, even with an aimable tweeter in that space. But if you suspend them from the ceiling and then angle them back so they point down, they should give you fairly even coverage of your listening area. Again... just something to consider.

Though, side note... this room looks like the ideal room to use Polk's OWM line in. Might be worth considering if you're willing to go direct-radiating instead of bipole/dipole. And in white, those suckers would blend into the room pretty well.
