Hi gang,

Back from a long forum hiatus with a mystery for everyone. Got a pair of thrift mart specials yesterday for $3.99 for the pair...I have no idea what they are. They do work...and actually don't appear to sound half bad from the 2 minute demo I gave them. They are seven drivers each with what appears to be six 6" mid-woofs and one...2.5-3.5 (hard to tell) cone tweeter. Input is simply a set of screws and all it has for a crossover is single capacitor between the midwoofs and they tweeter.

There's a few pics to maybe help.

There are worth what you paid for them.

Yeah...I kinda figured they might be JCPenny specials or something from back in the day...but they are solidly built and I figured even if just use them for goof-around parts or as cabs to break in drivers....or even as spare wood...they were worth 3 or 4 bucks. :)

The highs certainly are not "sparkling"...i'll say that...but they would definitely cut it as-is for garage speakers.
