Sunfire Theatre Grand II for 2-Channel Music

My 2 channel music setup currently consists of a Denon 3910 SACD/CD player, a Parasound PL/D-2000 preamp, and a Parasound HCA-2200II power amp running to SDA-2B's with RD0's. This is my first "good" system and it's miles better than where I was a year ago, thanks in a HUGE part to the community of knowledgeable and helpful people here.:)
I have a local line on a Sunfire Theatre Grand II Preamp for 350, possibly lower. How's the price/ resale factor? How will this thing do for 2 Channel music?
I'm thinking that the biggest difference will be that, because I don't have an external DAC, I could use the Sunfire's DAC instead of my player's DAC, which I am assuming would be an improvement. If I am playing a SACD and using the Denon's digital output will the Sunfire be able to read it? This isn't hugely important because I mainly listen to normal CD's.
I could also end up using the Sunfire in my HT setup with a 5 channel amp down the road if I ever upgraded my 2 channel pre to something tubed...
Thoughts?

I have not heard the Parasound preamp so I cannot comment on that. I can comment on the sunfire. For 2 channel or HT, they do have great sound to them. The sunfire would be able to read the cd or scad but, i dont know how much of an improvement it would be vs the built in one on the denon. The Denon 3910 is a darn nice unit....Klipsch The Nines, Audioquest Thunderbird Interconnect, Innuos Zen MK3 W4S recovery, Revolution Audio Labs USB & Ethernet, Border Patrol SE-I, Audioquest Niagara 5000 & Thunder, Cullen Crossover II PC's.

$350 is a good price for that preamp. I have the original TGP and it does very nicely as a 2 channel pre amp.Sunfire TGP, Sunfire Cinema Grand, Sunfire 300~2 (2), Sunfire True Sub (2),Carver ALS Platinum, Carver AL III, TFM-55, C-19, C-9, TX-8, SDA-490t, SDA-390t

yea, after thinking about it more I am going to pass on the sunfire. The Denon is about four or five years newer than the Sunfire (2004 vs 2000), and has a decent DAC in it, so it would be hard to imagine that th Sunfire would be any better, or at least $350 better. I think I'd be better off saving the 350 to go towards a nicer tube pre down the road. Thanks guys,
