Polk 10A's cabinet question

I just picked up a pair of 10A's and while I love the sound on them The cab's are atrocious looking. Mine have a fake dark brown veneer/vinyl . Did any of these come in actual wood cabinets? Any suggestion on what I can do to make these look any better?

Strip the vinyl and apply some nice veneer. lots of people have done it and posted their process and results here. Try the search feature to find the related threads.;)

I have a pair of pretty much mint cabinets that my brother redid in oak They are beautiful. Need to get rid of them. keith
