OWM3 as "bookshelf"???

hello, i may need your help. can i use OWM3 as regular speakers without subwoofer? is there a special frequency switch needed as by BOSE cubes? thanks to everyone for advice!

    First, welcome to Club Polk! Now, to answer your questions:
    Yes, no, and there are too many options out there to even bother doing so, unless maybe they're for a lo-fi environment, such as an outdoor patio.

    Yes you can use the OWM's as bookshelf speakers. While they will sound better with a sub it is not required. There is not a switch or anything on the speakers. Just hook them up to either a stereo or home theater amplifier and you are good to go.
    Front - RTiA5's

    Are you looking at a used set? If you are looking new, a pair of Polk Monitor 30's will likely be a better bet for small bookshelves. But yes, the OWM3's can very well be used as a bookshelf speaker and would require no sub to work. Just a amplifier or receiver and some speaker wire.
