Did paypal raise the 3% fee to ???

I recieved a 285.00 payment and paypal charged me 8.57 WTF

I was always charged 3% before and I had dozens of transactions.
Maybe it has something to do with that new law to protect merchants from the bull sh*^ fees they have to pay the banks and credit card companies.:eek:
It would have been nice to know in advance about the hike though.

    Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

    PayPal doesn't charge 3%. It's actually 2.9% +$0.30.
    I would follow up with PayPal first to see what's going on.
    They should have charged $8.57 ($8.27 +0.30)
    But they charged $18.57 (an extra $10)

    Is it possible that something might be involved with the transaction for the extra $10?? I only just did a quick scan but I didn't see any $10 fees for anything. Shipping via PayPal perhaps?
