You know what's awesome about you?
Unlike other countries that celebrate their founding with formal ceremonies full of stuffy dignitaries and such, you take the day off, cook raw meat over an open fire, drink a beer and blow stuff up!
That and for a brief few weeks, even though you absolutely HATE the sport, you supported your team with the furor and energy that you would any other team of yours on the world stage. Why? Merely because they were Americans!
No wonder people are jumping fences to get here! The grass really is greener even if it's just the beer talking!
Now I gotta go get in my pickup truck and take a trip to a BBQ where I'm going to eat piles of meat and drink gallons of beer and later, head off to watch fireworks in the city where this nation was founded. When I get back, I'd better see some more reasons why this country is so great or there will be atomic wedgies all around!

What's awesome?
The fact that I can furiously dig through my collection of tubes and records, pull a few choice items out, and because my fellow forum members like audio crack as much as I do - they just paid for my kiddos to get to see the beach for a couple of days, and have a REAL family vacation.
THAT means more to me than anything, and part of what makes me proud to be an American.
