Pioneer PRO 101-FD-KURO?

Hello,

Is the Kuro still one of the Best?
With the Newer LED and 3D HD TVs, is the Kuro a good choice?
The Best Buy by me has a Pro 101-FD 50in for a Great price, is it
time for a KURO:)

    Love the elite plasma's and still top notch black levels and has a natural picture. While I love my two pioneer plasma's I like my Samsung LCD better for watching HD channels. The colors aren't as natural but I don't mind the cartoonic picture at all. Blu Ray looks fantastic on the Elites and at times looks 3D.

    Whichever you choose LCD, plasma, or led you'll be very pleased. Technology has come a long way.

    I absolutely love mine. Picture is way above lcd in my opinion. Too many other sets makes everything look like a daytime soap opera. Blu-ray and sports are outstanding. Not sure if that model your looking at was the one with a humming noise that some complained about.

    I own a Pio Elite Kuro Pro 151FD 60inch. Great tv! I like all the safety features on it that limit the chances of any burn in or ghost images. If you experience any buzz or hum there should be a "Energy Mode" in the menu that lets you set it to "Off" or "Mode 1" or "Mode 2" with Mode 2 using the least amount of energy and quiets the tv.

    Any channels or commercials that have black side masks the safety feature once activated widens the picture so the whole screen is full, things like that.
