Hello,

I recently found a great deal on a pair of F/X500i Surrounds.

Will they match up fine with the more recent Rti Tower series (RTi70 and up).

Also, I know the CS400i center matches the F/X500's, but how will it sound with the RTi line?

Thanks,
-S

If you super critical on sound the fx500 matches the cs400 and the rt800, or rt600 towers, to say you can tell a different if you have the rt and rti line in the same setup is to each is own, I had the cs245, and the cs400i with my rti70's and i couldnt tell a difference.. although i wasn't looking.. if you open your mind and don't listen for a difference then you may not hear a difference, LOL

to answer your question directly, the only real difference is the tweeters in each line and many have said you can hardly tell a difference if at all. I couldn't

edit: also if you plan to get the rti70's, may i suggest to get the csi40 center and keep the 500's for the rears, match the front stage and back, if you later want to get 6.1 or 7.1 surround backs, match the older line iE: rt25,rt35,rt15 with the 500's for a complete match in the rears
