updgrading front speakers?
I am thinking about upgrading my front speakers. I bought them new in 1979 while i was in college in Champaingn il.
At the time I bought them, I also bought a Yamaha CR640 (40watt stereo) and which hasn't been used in 12 plus years. it's broke, but recently I decided to get it fix and use it on in my garage workshop. I figured I might use my polk audio monitor 7's out in the garage and buy some new speakers for my ht setup.
I have polk audio center and rear speakers, see my signature line for model numbers.
What would be a good set of speakers for my ht? Also (and just sort of thinking out loud) what are your thoughts on a second sub woofer?
thanks, joe

I have the same center and rears. If you don't mind getting used, I would get the RT800i or the RT55i. These are the speakers that are recommended by Polk that would best fit your center. I have both and like the RT55i more.
