Rear Surround placement??
Hey everyone, I am trying to decide on what to do with my rear speakers. I am running LSI25's and an LSIc in the front and was planning on going with the LSIfx for the back but I have a question. My room is say 20feet long, My couch is not on the back wall opposite from the TV it is at say the 12foot mark.
Should I still go with the Fx's and where should I mount them? Or would I be better off with the Lsi'9s just behind and above the couch? See my professional diagram for reference.
Thanks guys!

I guess I am mostly wondering about the FX's because of the speaker shape and function? They look to me like they would best be used on the back wall? If I placed them just behind the couch I would have one side firing to the back of the room right?

I am going thru the same dilema as well. You have alot of room behind your couch so you have more options.I did the following:: I got a 6 foot ladder and put my fx's on them to see how much sound I would get from them.I had 9's on stands prior to buying the fx's.My arch way where I will mount the fx's is about 2 foot higher than the ladder test.I felt I got excellent sound from the fx's up so I am going to mount them on the archway behind my couch.Real pic's are helpful so check these out

Any other thoughts guys? Should I go with the LSiFX's or the LSI9's for my surround speakers? Hoping to pull the trigger this week.
