SRS2 schematic

Finally, my SRS2's are on the way here! My wife decided to go them and they should be here Wednesday afternoon, just in time to go to work!
While waiting, I've been doing a lot of reading and came up with a probably dumb question. Looking at the schematic for the SRS2, Drg #P0162002 at location B3, it appears a component is missing. I see two connection points but no value.
Am I reading this wrong?

No need for anything to connect those two points directly, both points are just paths to ground. Having an open between those two points separates the upper frequency ground from the lower frequency ground; and the separation is bypassed when the jumpers are in place on the binding posts. Removing the jumpers will isolate the upper frequency ground from the lower frequency ground, and then separate amplifiers can be used to biamp the system without interaction.
In short...nothing to be concerned about. -
Gordon, always have the your actuall X-over in front of you when reading a Polk schematic. They made a lot of changes on the fly and many did or didn't make it to a schematic.
I always recommend when people are changing parts to not only look at the schematic but base the values and parts on what is installed in your particular speaker.
H9"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul! -
Wednesday afternoon update Gord ????
Did you get them yet ???? -
My wife brought home the speaks yesterday about 1. I had just enough time to unload them into the house before I had to go to work :D. The condition of the speaks is not as good as described. The top and bottom plates are very loose and definitely had too many beers or plants placed on the tops. Numerous snags, bumps and a general looseness in the fabric. One of the drivers has a pushed in dust cap. No spikes or bumpers installed, but inserts still there. I gently pushed on the PR and all drivers moved out but immediately retracted, which tells me the cabinet has leaks?
We have to do some creative moving. I have the the rack, SRS's, 2b's, Martin Logan Spire and 2 subs sitting in the 11X23 living room. Once I place them somewhat correctly, I'll start a new thread with my new adventure.
