Has anyone heard the older model 3? I have a chance to grab a set or for $150 less a set of 2ce. I am trying to look up and see what the difference between the two units are but all i can find is info for the 3A and not the 3.

I have heard the 2ce before and they do sound great but, is it worth the extra $ for the 3?

Thanks for the advice.

I can't tell you what the exact differences are, but I would go with the 2ce before I would get the older 3's.

Ok I will throw one more in the mix. the 3a i also found within 150 miles from me.

How would either the 2ce or 3a do aganst SDA 1.2 or 2.3?

I have both. I am considering selling a set and replacing them with a different set of speakers.

    Thanks

I picked up the 3A's I have not hooked them up to my gear yet but, they are a bit mellow sounding, yet sound good. Definitely not a fatiguing speaker that is for sure. Hopefully I will be able to hook them up at my place this weekend.

Congrats. If I were to build another 2 channel rig I would go for Vandersteens.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

I liked the 2ce's I bought in the FM. I understand that the factory stands take them to new level. (pun not intended) I thought they could have used some support with an accurate sub or two.

Still in the family though. My son has them now and told him I get them back if he ever wants to part with them.

    Thanks

they did come with the sound anchor's, boxes and the box for the anchors! They look new.

The seller was getting out of HIFI so to speak and was driving them ( for demo only ) with a 60 watt surround sound amp. They did sound ok on it but not right , but in the same aspect, you could hear the potential of them sooo. I took them home LOL.

The 3A are a warm good sounding speaker. Non fatiguing and clean. it does have more bass then i though it would!!! Not overbearing bass, but well balanced. It looks sooo tiny though next to the amazings and sda 1.2 lol
