Good game overall. We missed a few opportunities. Ghana is a very good team and they could go far.

Tomorrow's games should be good. Germany-England and Argentina-Mexico.

I like Argentina and Spain especially style-wise, but I have to say I've been more and more impressed with Uruguay. Their main strikers are clinically precise and they should have had 2 more scores except for bad refereeing.

I like Chile's hard-nosed attacking flair also. Frankly disappointed with Dunga for not bringing Ronaldinho along. Big mistake.

And thank God the U.S. went down without an offsides controversy or some other referee disaster. They went out on their shields.
Props to Ghana, they'll need something special or Uruguay will cut them to ribbons.

Argentina was my dark horse pick from the get go, but keep an eye on the netherlands. USA had alot of opportunities to score but they lack the skill set in my book to get it in the net.

Fixed!:D From my experience the only people in the US that watch soccer are people who actually played as kids.:D:p

I've tried to watch games and get bored almost immediately. I think it is the "most popular," "most watched," sport in the world is because that all these countries have and they use it in lieu of war games.:D

I guess you missed the :D!

I don't like the game, I find it excruciatingly boring does that make me ignorant Ric?:confused:

Believe me I've tried to watch soccer and can't make it through a game as I find no excitement in it what-so-ever! It's the same with Nascar racing; going round and round and round. However F1 racing is IMO exciting

No you certainly didn't but you quoted the part about "war games" and must have missed the :D at the end of the statement.

I was jokingly referring to the war that came about after a Peru/Ecuador soccar game! That should clear things up, no?;)

I guess it's more why than can you. I despise Rush, but would never sound off in any Rush threads here b/c it's going to be a gathering place for Rush fans to discuss all the reasons they love the band.

I love soccer, as I lived in England for 8 years. I love football as well. The games are apples and oranges. The key to soccer is the game within the game, but maybe you do have to play to see that part, dunno.

Either way, it'll be an interesting ending to things. Argentina looks pretty darn stout at this point.

    I hear you bud but . . .

Geez Bro, you mean to tell me that this whole thing was started out as a joke and is being taken so seriously that it warrants replies like I called someone's baby ugly.

So you jumping into a thread about Rush to express your disstain for them is taboo!?!

This place is getting really anally tight.:rolleyes:

No harm no foul. I didn't mean anything by it, that was just my first thought when I read the usual comments about how lame/boring soccer is, etc.

I enjoy reading your posts/input, and I know you're not slamming me or anything. It doesn't matter what I think anyway :)
