You hear a song on your Ipod you've never heard before.

I have my ipod running through my AVR to my outside speaks, and I had to go look what it was and who did it.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

I would say that's a good thing. Pushes you to find the deep cuts and discover things you didn't know you liked.

This happens to me all the time now. I have friends that would constantly send me music in MP3 form and after my 80gig got stolen my girlfriend (now wife) bought me a 160gig for my birthday. 160gig is an obscene amount of music. Now all those years of gifted music are on the Ipod and the shuffle setting is weird and dangerous, always an adventure.
    Sounds good to me...

I would love to have a 160 gig and go lossless, but I use mine mostly at work, and being a telcom tech it gets dropped occasionally on the job, so I have a Nano with the flash memory . I'd probably kill an Ipod with a hard drive (I also have the best rubber cover I could find to keep it safe).

I do like discovering new stuff that I downoladed for whatever reason, It does crack me up to have down loaded something I've never heard. This happened to be a song off a cd that I bought used, and I'd never heard the song before.

it was a good song too. :D

I have a "smart playlist" on my iTunes / iPod that's just "songs not played in the last 6 weeks." It's all I listen to anymore unless I want to hear a particular song / album. As of today it has 4 straight days of music in it.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Well, it's not really a problem until your iPod shuffles Armik, Kid Rock, Hilary Hahn, Herb Alpert, Jane Birkin, Kon Kan, Miles Davis, Aerosmith, and Taylor Swift.
