New Sound System

Hi. I have a 98 VW bug and i want to upgrade the sound system. I want good bass, and good sound. I have a top price range of about 1,000 or 1,300. I could do all the work myself. Also, Would two subs blow the windows out or do i need just one?

    do you have any preference of anything at all?
    brands etc
    youll need amps, wiring, a new head unit, subs, speakers and some stuff imbetween
    you need to tell us the amount of space were working with and what size speaker locations you have
    also what kind of music do you listen to?
    you need to go to some local dealers and hear different speakers before we tell you anything...youll know what you want...we wont
